Steven Riggins, President
Steven has been with Riggins Inc. since 1984. He is responsible for managing the company’s financial performance and implementing supply and pricing strategies. Steven brings extensive knowledge of commodity markets and works with customers to find the best possible deal to fit their needs. Steven attended Bucknell University and is also an Eagle Scout. Like his brother Paul, Steven started at the family business by emptying trash cans at age 13. He is an avid skier and tennis player.
Richard Cummines, Vice President of Operations
Richard Cummines is the Vice President of Operations and has served in that post since 1982. He is responsible for managing the company’s large fleet of trucks across three states. Richard brings extensive experience in trucking operations, dispatching, and maintenance. He is the brother-in-law of Paul and Steve, and attended Glassboro State College (now Rowan) where he studied his life’s true passion: music. Richard is a former music teacher like many in his family, and currently serves as the President and Co-Conductor of the Philadelphia Brigade Band, a Civil War era brass band.
Matthew Riggins, Executive Vice President & CFO
Matt Riggins is responsible for the financial management of the company, and oversees Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, IT, and all strategic initiatives for the company including real estate transactions. Matt previously worked as a management consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton with expertise in change management and strategy, and served as a legislative assistant and deputy communications director for Congressman Rob Andrews in Washington, D.C. He received his MBA from Georgetown University and his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University, and holds an executive certification in Change Management from
Georgetown University. Matt also serves as the Chairman of the Burlington County Bridge Commission, which oversees the safe operation and maintenance of the Tacony-Palmyra and Burlington-Bristol bridges, and also serves as the economic improvement authority for Burlington County. He also sits on the board of Orchard Friends School, a private school for children with language and learning difficulties. He speaks fluent Spanish and resides in Moorestown NJ with his wife and two children.
Paul Riggins, Vice President and Executive Advisor
Paul Riggins, former President of Riggins, Inc., has worked for Riggins since 1977. Paul has extensive industry experience and actively provides his expertise to customers on legal, environmental, contractual and other issues. He is an active member of the Fuel Merchants Association of New Jersey, and has served in a leadership capacity on the Board of Trustees of Moorestown Friends School. He continues to be an active member of his community. Paul grew up in Vineland and began “work” at the company by emptying trash cans at age 7! He attended Bucknell University and, like many Riggins family members, is an Eagle Scout. He enjoys hiking, camping, and kayaking.
